OPENING (brooming machine, carding, picker)

  • Synthetic textile fibers : polypropylene, nylon, polyester, polyamide, acrylic, aramid fibers, ...

  • Natural textile fibers : flax, wool, cotton, jute, sisal, ...

  • Mineral fibers : glass fibers and carbon fibers

  • Textile waste : old cloth, bags, rags, trims, carpet, ...

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

EXTRUSION AND CRUSHING

  • Plastic film in roll, bale, trim or bulk : polypropylene, polyethylene, polyester, polyamide, ...

  • Synthetic fibers in bale or bulk : polypropylene, nylon, polyester, polyamide, acrylic, ...

  • Plastic binding

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

CONDITIONING AND TRANSPORTATION

  • Carpet or film trim

  • Iron wire

  • Manufacturing waste to put in bale (fibers, films or large pieces) : polypropylene, nylon, polyester, polyamide, acrylic, paper, cardboard, glass fiber, aramid fiber, ...

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

DECREASE IN VOLUME - WASTE DISPOSAL

  • After cut some products can be disposed as of waste of inferior quality at lower costs (ex. bituminous carpet).

  • Some products loose volume after being cut which is interesting to reduce conditioning and transportation costs.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

INCINERATION

  • Using multi-component waste, customers make densified granules that are delivered to cement fabrics or lime plants for incineration.

  • Large enterprises producing large quantities of waste can consider incineration on the spot.

  • Incineration is most successful with small materials. Densification is aimed to solve the problems of flow and transportation.

PAPER PASTE - CARDBOARD PASTE - ACETATE FIBERS

  • Natural fibers (mainly cotton and flax) are cut in order to improve dosage and transportation and in order to fasten dissolution of fibers in the bath of water and chemical products.

  • Rubbish and paper or cardboard waste can be treated in a similar way to make cardboard paste.

  • Acetate fiber (by-product of wood) can be recycled by dissolution in aceton in order to obtain a paste and to produce acetate fiber again (used for cigarette filter).

  • Cutting has good results to improve dosage, transportation and to fasten dissolution in the bath.

"LOADINGS" - COMPOSITE MATERIALS

  • Mainly using cables, string or threads.

  • Generally those products are short and gauged, to be put into concrete, bitumen, plaster, resin, plastics, ...

  • Use of synthetic products but mainly glass fiber and aramid fiber in the field of plastics.

  • Particular applications of carbon fiber.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

FLOCK APPLICATIONS

  • Using continuous nylon, viscose or polyester cables, they make a short and gauged cut (from 0.25 to 1.5 mm). After treatment (washing, dyeing, activation, drying-up and sieving) flocks will be electrostatically stuck onto a surface covered up with glue.

  • Fields : car industry, clothing, decoration, furniture, ...

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

MISCELLANEOUS APPLICATIONS

  • Slashing clothes to pieces on a guillotine with special knives.

  • Treatment of "cone ends" : the bobbins are put onto holders - the feeding system of the cutting machine pulls up the thread - gauged cut.

  • Cutting before washing station.

  • Special cutting machine that wraps up wool.

  • Cutting for destruction : video films, books, ...

  • Cutting glass wool trim with cogged knives to reincorporate into the voile.

  • Cutting of rope that will enter into the fabrication of an elastic mattress in the field of baby's napkins and sanitary products.

  • Cutting and agglomeration for the fabrication of panels, pegs, pallets, ...

  • Tetrabrick : agglomerated panels made from milk bricks and plastic bags that have first been cut, washed and crushed.

  • Fabrication of sound-isolating panels, gym carpets and packing products from sponge waste cut to pieces.

  • Fabrication of horse race-tracks by incorporating miscellaneous products with defined grain dimension into the sand.

  • Filling-up of cushions with polyurethane sponge waste cut beforehand into pieces.

  • Cutting of magnetic bands before friction and chemical bath in order to separate magnetic parts from plastic holder.

  • Cutting of leather in order to be placed into the fabrication of glue.

  • Treatment of hemp :

    - stripping and use of broken fibers to make sound-isolating panels.

    - use of straws for pets litter.
